Security Training Group’s Courses in Plantation
To be able to serve in any type of security services, the state of Florida requires individuals to acquire a state approved Class D security license. Individuals looking to better themselves and become armed security must also take training to earn their Class G security license. The firearms security training session is made up of firearms range qualification training by a licensed Class K firearms instructor and calls for a written test which the candidate must clear. Completion of the Class G license course allows an armed security officer to carry a 9mm, .45 cal., .40 cal., .380 semi-automatic pistol, 357 and or .38 caliber revolver, depending on which they certified in. It is important for armed security personnel to investigators to undergo the 4 hours of firearms training certification every year in order to keep their license valid- we happily offer a recertification security course for students!
